I used grass-fed, pasture-raised premium beef hide gelatin powder to make these gummies because of its ability to support gut health. For starters, gelatin is derived from collagen - a protein found in the connective tissues of animals. Collagen is a major component of our gut lining, so consuming collagen-rich gelatin can help support the health and integrity of the gut lining. Studies have also shown that supplementing with collagen could have anti-inflammatory effects.

Ingredients


Step 1: "Bloom" the Gelatin

  • Pour 1 cup of fruit juice into a medium-sized bowl.

  • Sprinkle the gelatin powder into the juice and whisk.

  • Set aside for the gelatin to bloom (form a gel).


Step 2: Heat the Juice

  • Pour the remaining 3 cups of juice into a large pot.

  • Heat over medium until the juice is warmed (avoid boiling).


Step 3: Create the Gelatin Mixture

  • Scoop the bloomed gelatin into the heated juice pot.

  • Whisk until all clumps dissolve.


Step 4: Make the Gummies

  • Pour the gelatin liquid into silicone molds.
